GEF’s VISION

Students in the Gloucester Public School District are engaged in, and enthusiastic about, their education, are prepared to reach their fullest potential, and are dedicated to community engagement.

GEF’s MISSION

The Gloucester Education Foundation drives innovation, encourages creativity, expands student opportunities and empowers educators to strengthen teaching and learning in the Gloucester Public School District.

GEF’s GOAL

To help the Gloucester Public School District be one of the best school districts in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Gloucester Education Foundation

The GEF held its annual celebration yesterday evening at the North Shore Arts Association. The beautiful hall was decorated with art made by kids from all GPS schools.

This year, GEF supporters heard from GPS students who benefited from a sampling of GEF-funded programs. They included a group of Beeman students talking about their summer STEM/engineering program, a song performed by the three actors portraying Mary Poppins in this year's O'Maley musical, and a drone demonstration by GHS robotics/engineering student Austin Monell.

Dust off your bowling shoes and join us on Sunday, November 4 for the first annual GEF Education Bowl! We gather at Cape Ann Lanes on Gloucester Avenue from 4 p.m.-6 p.m. We welcome teams of up to 8 people. Space is limited, and the event is filling up, so sign up your team today by contacting Beth Calomo at jbcalomo@gmail.com.

The cost is $30 per bowler, and proceeds will support programs in the Gloucester Public Schools. Come and enjoy the hospitality and refreshments at the Cape Ann Lanes concession stand and enter to win raffle prizes!
