Laura Irwin joined GEF in 2026 as Development Manager. With more than a decade of experience in nonprofit fundraising and development, Laura has worked with organizations across Massachusetts to strengthen donor relationships, manage fundraising operations, and support initiatives that create lasting impact for children, families, and communities. She is passionate about connecting donors with the stories of the people and programs they make possible, helping build meaningful partnerships that advance an organization's mission.

Laura has called Essex home since 1996 and is proud to live and work on the North Shore. She is thrilled to support Gloucester’s students, educators, and schools through GEF’s work and to be part of an organization that believes every student deserves the opportunity to thrive. Outside of work, Laura enjoys supporting local small businesses, visiting neighborhood coffee shops, traveling, browsing local bookstores and antique shops, and spending time appreciating the natural beauty and coastal charm that make the North Shore unlike anywhere else.

Laura is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
