Brian Weed has been a Gloucester resident since 2005 when he relocated from San Diego with his wife Deirdre and their two children. He works for Applied Materials as a Director in Applied Global Services. Brian has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Union College and an M.B.A. from Endicott College. He has spent most of his career in the semiconductor capital equipment industry, designing electromechanical beamline assemblies and managing the global aftermarket business.

Brian is an active member of the community, he serves on the board of Cape Ann Shakespeare Troupe, and is involved with local music and arts. His daughter Haley graduated from GHS in 2022 and is studying Environmental Science at the University of Vermont. His son Tyler graduated from GHS in 2023 and plans to pursue a degree in aerospace engineering.
