Carla O’Connor is a Gloucester native and mom to four boys: Riley (O’Maley), Cameron (West Parish) and twins Jack & Gavin (future GPS students). Carla grew up in and around the family business Captain Carlo’s Restaurant, and attended Purdue University for Hospitality Management. In her part-time role with GEF, she handles key administrative work including accounts payable and receivable, data entry, and office support.
Favorite GEF-funded program: O’Maley Academy, because it gave my oldest Riley the confidence to move to a new, bigger school with minimal nerves. The summer camps in particular for incoming 5th graders not only are an amazing financial relief to local families, being free to students, but provide these kids with such great chances to get into the school, learn the layout, meet the staff and familiarize themselves with this new world prior to the start of the school year.
