The GEF Community Council: our super volunteers; our supporters on speed-dial; our advisors, ambassadors, and advocates .

Over the years, GEF has depended on our Community Council, a group of ~25 “super volunteers”: folks deeply committed to our mission and vision, who are often the first people we call to float a new idea, get insight into a challenging issue, or ask to lend a hand at an event or program.

However, this council has been inactive in any formal sense for a number of years, since the pandemic. Some past members have moved away from Gloucester or are less engaged in our schools now that their children are grown. As GEF approaches its 20th birthday next fall, the time is ripe to engage the next wave of GEF volunteers, advisors, and ambassadors.

Please join us for a get-together on 2/25/25  from 6-8pm in the private room at Minglewood Harborside to learn more about this opportunity, network with fellow GEF supporters, and get updates on our work from GEF staff, board members, and student advisors.

We hope you’ll participate - please register by 2/15/25!
