John Sarrouf has been on the GEF board since 2009, primarily working to encourage our wonderful art, theater, dance, and music teachers and to connect them with fellow artists and institutions in our community.  In his professional life, John is the Executive Director of a non-profit dialogue organization - Essential Partners - that teaches conflict transformation around the world.  John and his wife Dawn are the parents of two children in the Gloucester Public Schools, Esmé (8th grade) and Elijah (11th grade).

Favorite GEF-funded project: the elementary school theater program, because there is nothing better than watching 4th and 5th graders working together to tell timeless stories to a rapt audience of their peers and parents.
