Norah Wylie has been part time resident of Gloucester for 20 years and a full time resident for 4 1/2 years. She is a retired attorney who has worked on education issues in several capacities. Her first legal job was in legal services representing children and parents in special education and ADA accommodation hearings. She also worked as an Ass't District Attorney and later as Ass't Attorney General on school safety and education issues. For 20 years before her retirement she was the Associate Dean for Students at BC Law, including overseeing accommodations for law school students and Title IX issues and teaching a course on Education Law and Public Policy. While living in Newton, she served as PTO President for two years at her children's primary school and as Co-President of the Newton PTO Council. She was also a board member of the Newton Schools Foundation and was elected to the Newton School Committee. She is an ardent believer in and supporter of public education K-- through higher ed. Her three children graduated from the Newton Public Schools, and two went on to graduate from public universities.
