Zach was born and raised in Gloucester, and is an attorney at Schlichte & Johnstone, P.C., located in downtown Gloucester. The primary focus of his practice is real estate law, specializing in real estate conveyancing.

Zach is a proud GPS alumnus. During his time at Gloucester High School he was a three-sport varsity athlete, captain of the football team, a member of DECA, and a participant of the Moose Youth Awareness program. He graduated from Salem State University in 2017 and from Suffolk University of Law in 2020.

Zach was recently named the chair for Next Generation Cape Ann (“NextGen”), which is a committee for young professionals in connection with the Greater Cape Ann Chamber of Commerce. He is also a proud supporter of bringing awareness to autism through his younger brother’s group, Aaron’s Advocates.

In addition to his legal expertise, Zach brings a high degree of attention to detail, critical thinking, analytical , and communication skills to the GEF board. He also has experience volunteering with the Gloucester students, and feels he would not be where he is today without the different programs he participated in within GPS as a student himself. Joining the GEF board is a way for him to pay it forward.
